Located in Tucson, AZ, This n’ That Creative Studio is a welcoming, hands-on creative space where children, teens, and adults can explore the power of imagination and self-expression through arts, crafts, sewing, and S.T.E.A.M. activities.
At our core, we believe creativity builds more than just beautiful projects—it builds confidence, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a lasting love for learning.
Our studio offers a wide range of engaging workshops, seasonal camps, themed events, and clubs that encourage participants of all skill levels to create, explore, and grow in a fun and supportive environment.
We go beyond crafting by offering teen-focused programs in entrepreneurship, workforce development, financial literacy, and storytelling through art, helping young makers develop real-world skills while having fun. Through mentorship, educational enrichment, and community-building, we aim to spark innovation and inspire tomorrow’s creative leaders.

Serving on the founding board of This n’ That Creative Studio is an opportunity to help shape a nonprofit from the ground up—its culture, impact, and legacy.
As a founding board member, you will:
Help build equitable access to creativity, literacy, and life skills for children and families
Influence the vision, values, and long-term strategy of a growing nonprofit
Support programs that serve foster youth, low-to-moderate income families, and youth impacted by trauma
Use your voice, skills, and networks to strengthen community connection and opportunity
Leave a lasting impact on Tucson’s creative and educational landscape
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for individuals who believe creativity is essential—not optional—and who want to be part of meaningful, community-centered change.
Board Roles & Responsibilities
All board members are expected to:
Uphold and advance the mission, vision, and values of This n’ That Creative Studio
Provide fiduciary oversight, including financial health and compliance
Participate in strategic planning and policy development
Support fundraising through personal giving, outreach, and advocacy
Serve as ambassadors and connectors within the community
Attend and actively participate in board meetings and key events
Provides leadership to the board and partners closely with the Executive Director
Sets meeting agendas and facilitates effective meetings
Helps guide strategic planning and board development
Serves as a key spokesperson and representative of the organization
Supports the Chair and assumes duties in their absence
Assists with board engagement, committees, and leadership development
Often transitions into the Chair role in future terms
Oversees financial health, budgets, and fiscal policies
Reviews financial reports and ensures responsible stewardship of funds
Works closely with staff or bookkeepers on financial compliance
Helps support fundraising strategy and sustainability
Maintains official records, meeting minutes, and governance documents
Ensures compliance with bylaws and nonprofit requirements
